The Best Flowers to Decorate with This Easter

There’s something magical about springtime—the sunshine, the pastel colors, and of course, the flowers! Easter is one of my favorite holidays to decorate for because it’s all about new beginnings, joy, and the beauty of nature. One of the easiest ways to breathe fresh life into your space is through flowers, and I love pairing my floral arrangements with one of our large holiday bows to tie everything together.

Whether you’re setting a brunch table, dressing up your front porch, or refreshing your entryway, flowers and a holiday bow are the perfect pairing. Here’s my guide to choosing the best spring florals for Easter, how to style them throughout your home, and why a floral holiday bow makes the perfect finishing touch.

Choosing Your Flowers

When choosing florals for Easter, I always look for soft, cheerful blooms that evoke the feeling of spring. Here are some of my go-to favorites:

1. Tulips

Nothing says spring quite like tulips. They come in a wide range of colors, from pale pink to sunny yellow, and their clean, simple shape makes them versatile for any arrangement. I especially enjoy incorporating the flowers into my door wreaths.

2. Daffodils

Daffodils are the ultimate symbol of spring renewal! Their vibrant yellow hue instantly brightens up any room and pairs beautifully with neutral decor or white ceramics.

3. Hyacinths

These fragrant blooms smell wonderful, and come in lovely shades of purple, white, and pink. I love placing them near my entryways to soften and sweeten up my entryway.

4. Ranunculus

These layered blooms are romantic and full, perfect for centerpieces. I like mixing them with greenery and placing them in a soft-toned vase for an elegant spring look.

5. Peonies (if you're lucky!)

Peonies are a bit early in the season, but if you can find them, they’re a showstopper. Their big, ruffled blooms make a statement all on their own.

How to Arrange Flowers for Easter Decor

Once you’ve chosen your blooms, it’s time to think about how to display them. Here’s how I like to approach it:

1. Choose the Right Vase

Go for ceramic pitchers, vintage jars, or clear glass vases. For a more rustic touch, I love arranging florals in a woven basket or even creating a small display with a bouquet, mason jars, and our scalloped basket on a coffee table.

2. Mix and Match

Combine different heights, textures, and colors of blooms for a more natural, garden-inspired feel. Don’t be afraid to add in some greenery like eucalyptus or ferns to fill out your arrangement!

3. Keep It Loose

Skip the tight, formal arrangements-- they look less natural. Spring florals look best when they’re a bit wild and free. Let some stems drape over the sides of the vase, and allow each bloom to have the space it needs to really show off.

Tie It All Together with a Holiday Bow

Once your flowers are in place, the finishing touch to your spring decor is always one of our holiday bows! I especially love using our floral holiday bow for Easter—it adds a timeless, classic feel and complements my other spring decor well. I usually hang mine on the front door, above the fireplace, or even on a wall near the entryway. Whether you go with a yellow floral, vintage floral cream, or a white floral, you can't go wrong!

Bringing Spring Indoors

Easter decorating doesn’t have to be complicated. With a few thoughtful floral arrangements and a bold, beautiful holiday bow, you can completely transform your space for the season. I like to keep things simple and natural—just like the spring itself!

So whether you're hosting Easter brunch or just looking to refresh your home for the season, consider this your sign to grab your favorite blooms and hang a holiday bow. Happy Easter!
