My Favorite Product Right Now: The Scalloped Oak Cutting Board
Share
We've been experimenting with a lot of beautiful new products recently, but if I had to pick my favorite product right now, it’s the scalloped oak cutting board. Equal parts functional and stunning, this board is a must-have for anyone who loves to cook or entertain!
Why It Stands Out
Jake and I developed the scalloped oak cutting board simply because I couldn't find what I was looking for. I had always wanted a beautiful cutting board that I could keep on my counter, but the only wood cutting boards I would find were heavy, blocky, and completely utilitarian. After a long and fruitless search, we finally decided to make our own. It was such a fun process!
What I love most about this cutting board is how it blends aspects of the masculine and feminine together. The scalloped edges bring a visually interesting, playful touch to a sturdy, durable product. But it’s more than just good looks. Made from high-quality oak, this cutting board is durable and, when cared for properly, resistant to wear. It’s the kind of piece that gets better with time, becoming a staple kitchen piece.
I'm also a fan of the warm touch that the oak wood brings to my white marble countertops. It adds beautiful contrast. (That's why I also use the other two pieces of our scalloped oak kitchen collection: oak trivets and a cookbook stand.)
How I Use It
This oak cutting board is as versatile as it gets. It’s my go-to for meal prep, whether I’m slicing veggies for a stir-fry or cutting apples and cheese for the grandkids. But it also shines as a serving piece. The board's beautiful design makes it perfect for presenting a charcuterie spread, bread and cheese, or even a stack of fresh pancakes at brunch. It's also stylish enough that it can be left out when not in use.
Why You’ll Love It
The scalloped oak cutting board is the perfect blend of beauty and practicality. Whether you’re cooking, entertaining, or just looking to add a touch of elegance to your kitchen, this piece delivers-- proving that you don't have to sacrifice style for function. (It also keeps you away from plastic cutting boards, which can put microplastics into your food.) The scalloped oak cutting board is quickly become a staple in my home, and I’m confident it’ll do the same for you!
